Schedule meetings on behalf of customers

The scheduling engine can be used by employees of financial institutions and their customers. Customer representatives, agents, and advisors can use the engine capabilities for scheduling ease and a consistent standard experience for the customers between self-scheduled meetings and agent-coordinated ones. This includes standard meeting templates, customer instructions, and meeting communications.

To implement the capabilities on behalf of experiences, you can use the scheduling engine API set in Dynamics 365 apps, third-party CRMs, or dedicated agent portals.

Note

  • The scheduling engine supports the appointment scheduling capabilities of Dynamics 365 and the Exchange events. While these appointments can co-exist with the meetings scheduled through the scheduling engine, implementing the engine APIs is recommended for the meeting type templates to service the scheduling and communication requirements of the customers.

  • If advisors want to schedule meetings directly through Exchange, using the Dynamic 365 App for Outlook is recommended. This allows tracking through Dynamics 365 and representing the appointments in the Scheduling administration app for customer appointments.
