Extend a trial for a customer

Customers can sign up for a free trial of Business Central. When a customer first signs up for Business Central, they will get access to an evaluation version that doesn't include all capabilities in Business Central. If they enable the 30-day trial experience, they enable all of Business Central's capabilities.

A customer can extend a trial experience one time, an additional 30 days to 60 days, if they need additional time to evaluate Business Central. If they need additional time after that, a partner can extend the trial for a customer one time.

If a customer's extended trial period is expired, they can subscribe to Business Central within 90 days and continue working in the company that they created. Otherwise, after 90 days, the company and data will be deleted.

Extend a trial (customer)

To extend your trial period, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Business Central.

  2. In the notification at the top of the workspace, select Extend Trial.

Extend a trial (partner)

To extend one of your customer's trial periods:

  1. Sign in to Partner Center.

  2. On the subscriptions page, extend the customer's subscription.
