Calculate and post job completion to the general ledger

To reverse work in process (WIP) that is posted to G/L and to post the final revenue and cost recognition entries for the job, you can select Yes on the message that you receive when changing the job status to Completed.

The program automatically calculates WIP for the job. After you have reviewed the results, a message will appear, asking if you want to run the Job Post WIP to G/L function.

When both functions are run, the job will be complete.

To prevent users from unintentionally posting to the job, you can set the Blocked field on the job card to All after you have calculated and posted the completion entries. At any time, you can change the Blocked field value and reopen the job.
