When upgrading to finance and operations apps, your reporting architecture will appear very different because you are now on the cloud.

Modernize your on-premises legacy data warehouse by using Azure Data Lake Storage and Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics and bring data from your on-premises systems including Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics AX 2009. You can combine data from current finance and operations apps, legacy systems, and data from devices and sensors. By using Azure Synapse Analytics, you can consume data in the data lake by using T-SQL and familiar tools.
