Introduction
Specific basic configuration, data elements, and actions are needed in all implementations prior to creating any Commerce channels or deploying Dynamics 365 Commerce.
The required configurations include:
- Initial data configurations that are not implementation-specific
- Legal entity global parameters
- Payment methods to be used in the Commerce channels
- Initial data that is required for creating a Commerce channel
- Valid modes of delivery that can be used in different channels
- Info codes that can be used for actions in the point of sale
The following diagram shows an overall flow of the high-level configurations that are prerequisites for creating a Commerce channel. The subsequent sections will focus on a few essential steps in the configurations.
