Exercise - Create tiered level shipping cost configuration

You must define a shipping cost to be considered when DOM calculates fulfillment recommendations.

Your company has chosen a tiered level calculation basis for mode of delivery 99 only, where the shipping cost is fixed at USD 5.00 for the first 100 km road distance, then fixed at USD 10.00 for the 100-200 km range of road distance, and fixed at USD 20.00 for any road distance above 200 km.

  1. In the company USRT, go to Retail and Commerce > Distributed order management > Setup > Cost configuration.
  2. Select New.
  3. In the Cost factor field, enter Shipping Tiered.
  4. In the Description field, enter Shipping Tiered cost.
  5. In the Cost type field, select Shipping.
  6. In the Calculation basis field, select Tiered.
  7. In the Default cost field, enter 5.00.
  8. In the Calculation criteria tab, select Add.
  9. In the Company field, enter USRT.
  10. In the Mode of delivery field, enter 99.
  11. In the Distance type field, select Road distance.
  12. In the Distance units field, select km.
  13. In the Distance from field, enter 0.00.
  14. In the Distance to field, enter 100.00.
  15. In the Calculation type field, select Fixed.
  16. In the Cost field, enter 5.
  17. In the Company field, enter USRT.
  18. In the Mode of delivery field, enter 99.
  19. In the Distance type field, select Road distance.
  20. In the Distance units field, select km.
  21. In the Distance from field, enter 100.01.
  22. In the Distance to field, enter 200.00.
  23. In the Calculation type field, select Fixed.
  24. In the Cost field, enter 10.
  25. In the Company field, enter USRT.
  26. In the Modes of delivery field, enter 99.
  27. In the Distance type field, select Road distance.
  28. In the Distance units field, select km.
  29. In the Distance from field, enter 200.01.
  30. In the Distance to field, enter 10000.00.
  31. In the Calculation type field, select Fixed.
  32. In the Cost field, enter 20.
  33. Set the Active field to Yes.
