Cancel transactions in Store Commerce

Situations occur where an ordered product is later canceled by the customer for one reason or another. Commerce can be configured to automatically charge a percentage of the item as a cancelation fee. The cancelation fee configuration is controlled from the Commerce parameters page in HQ.

The available fields to control the cancelation fee functionality are:

  • Cancelation charge percentage – If a charge will be applied when a customer order is canceled, specify the percentage of that charge.
  • Cancelation charge code – If a charge will be applied when a customer order is canceled, that charge will be reflected under a charge code on the sales order. Use this parameter to define the cancelation charge code.

To cancel an order in the Store Commerce, the order must be recalled from HQ, where the Cancel operation can be used to cancel the order.
