Create student leadership

Completed

The goal of education is to turn children into self-directed adults who will be able to take on the challenges of tomorrow. By encouraging and supporting leadership, we empower students to play an active role in their own education and develop robust skill sets.

Apart from being a player, what other roles could students take on within your esports program?

There are a huge range of different opportunities to engage your students in leadership roles within your esports program. Esports involves so much more than just the team playing the game.

  • Coach
  • Analyst
  • Team manager
  • Logo design
  • Merch design
  • Apparel manager
  • Social media manager
  • Shout caster
  • Stream team
  • Journalist
  • Event manager
  • Nutritionist
  • Psychologist
  • Personal trainer
  • Student president
  • Alumni

As you build an inclusive program consider:

  • What type of esports will you host?
  • Will esports be used for engagement, a club after school, an esports league, or tournament gaming?
  • Are you running esports at your school for casual or serious gaming? Or both?
  • Will there be pay to play or fees to collect for tournaments or special events? Will the feeĀ prevent any players from participating?
  • Do you need any special equipment or classroom accommodations to support and welcome all individuals?
  • What will your code of conduct be?
