Il documento XML da visualizzare nel Xml controllo viene specificato in uno dei tre modi. È possibile specificare un System.Xml.XmlDocument oggetto, una stringa XML o un file XML impostando la proprietà appropriata. La DocumentSource proprietà viene utilizzata per specificare il percorso di un file XML (che rappresenta un documento XML) da visualizzare nel controllo. È possibile usare un percorso relativo o assoluto. Un percorso relativo riguarda il percorso del file al percorso della pagina Web Forms o del controllo utente, senza specificare un percorso completo nel server. Il percorso è relativo alla posizione della pagina Web. Ciò semplifica lo spostamento dell'intero sito in un'altra directory nel server senza aggiornare il percorso al file nel codice. Un percorso assoluto fornisce il percorso completo, quindi lo spostamento del sito in un'altra directory richiede l'aggiornamento del codice.
