This module compared the concepts of authentication and authorization, and the different methods Windows uses for authentication. You learned about the different account types used to authenticate to Windows clients. Domain accounts are used to manage accounts at scale through group membership. Windows Hello can help simplify the user authentication experience while providing stronger security than traditional password methods. When a user account is created, a profile is also created to store user specific settings that can be managed at scale using tools such as Group Policy.
