2.2.3.190 UserAgent

The UserAgent element is an optional child element of the Set element in Settings command requests that specifies the user agent. The UserAgent element value can be up to 1024 characters in length.

The UserAgent element SHOULD contain the information in the User-Agent header. The User-Agent header SHOULD be removed from the HTTP request. The server does not validate the value of the UserAgent element.

The client indicates the protocol version being used by setting either the MS-ASProtocolVersion header, as specified in [MS-ASHTTP] section 2.2.1.1.2.6, or the Protocol version field, as specified in [MS-ASHTTP] section 2.2.1.1.1.1, in the request.
