As an organization, you can define the business conduct guidelines for using Stream (Classic) and require employees to read and acknowledge the guidelines before uploading content.
Note
You need to be a Stream (Classic) admin to change this setting.
These guidelines can be added in the footer. The footer now appears on every page and you can customize the footer with a link your specific company video policy.
To customize the footer
Select On to enter
In Link to your company's video policy, specify a link to your organization's guidelines and policy.
View the company's video policy in the footer
If you want to require people in your organization to accept these guidelines before uploading content, set Require company policy acceptance to On.
Note
In order to require policy acceptance, you need to specify a company policy link. If you don't, you'll see the following error message:
Employee experience
Acknowledgment is one-time activity, which the user has to do before they upload their first video.
When employees visit the upload video page from the Stream (Classic) home page or a group or channel, they are prompted to click Please read and accept our company policy.
After they click the company policy link, the organization guidelines open in a new tab, and the upload screen gets refreshed to show where they can click Accept Policy before uploading content.
Administrators can also select to reset company policy acceptance. This action will require all users to accept the guidelines before uploading content regardless if they have already accepted prior to resetting.
Select the button marked Reset, and then select Confirm to complete the reset policy action.
